you are my crawshaw/to the sound of______/the echoes of the best time of my life
Dearest Cecilia and CAPpers,
I LOVE YOU
I LOVE YOU ALL.
I'LL WAIT FOR YOU.
COME BACK TO ME.
The fact that CAP got me quoting Atonement again makes clear the awesomeness of CAP. I shan't bother with describing it, because I won't do it any justice. Let it suffice to say that. In tribute of CAP, I've come up with one of the cool list things. Spread away!
YOU KNOW YOU'RE SUFFERING FROM CAPwithdrawl when:
1. You wake up later than 12 the morning after
2. You rush because you think you're late
3. You go gaga over the rows of Twiggies in Cold Storage
4. You create a Facebook account just to join CAP Alumni
5. You play the bottle game with yourself in the bathroom
6. You laugh at people in their faces for not knowing the bottle game
7. You cry when no one thinks the bottle game is impressive
8. You wonder why everyone shies away from hugs
9. You want to stay in NUS forever
10. You sing "You are my crawshaw" to yourself to sleep
11. You search Kinokuniya for all the books by the plenary speakers
12. You're nodding to yourself while reading this!

we drive through the farmland
Harlo Cecilia and sudden influx of taggerz,
Got nothing significant to blog about. Going for Indy 4 at 12 with my condo friends. Will be leaving for CAP tomorrow morning, and therefore will not exist for the next week. Vaguely exciting, meeting new people, potential friends.
A quick note: A lot of people have been asking about Cecilia and my blog introduction. It is agreeable that it is misleading and therefore I shall elucidate. The intro is a quote from the book/movie Atonement. It is relatively clear that I am not "The man who, with the clarity of passion made love to you in the library". For the sake of the curious Cecilia is played by Kiera Knightley in the movie. Hrmm...I'm rambling..Will post again once I'm back.

you cut me open
Harlo Cecilia,
I had my debate competition quarters, semis and grand finals yesterday. But before that, onto friday. Got results, did very well, happy with myself. Later on in the day, we had this school invasion tour thing, two bands came + some random RJs from 987FM. I don't really listen to the radio. Anyway, they were pretty good, but it was just the whole idea of a "concert" in school that was strange. Anyway, got their sample CD and a concert ticket for the next day but I didn't go cuz no one else was coming with me. T_T..
Anyway, after school we had debate which ended at 7.40..Reached home at 8.15 and slacked off till 9.30...Rehearsed and timed my speech a few more times and finished some other things that needed finishing. Slept at 11.30, exhausted after debate and the prospect of having to debate the next day.
Anyway, woke up at 6.40 the next day. Bathe, wore my blazer(I love the formal attire. It's so shmexy) and left for RJC. The first debate started at 9.30 and we did very well. We won and I got best speaker. After all the problems with my speech, timing, etc, I was really happy that I got it right. So with that, onto semis, facing HCI. I was Prop 1, and although we had set up an extremely smart case, I screwed up my speech, screwing up my team. HCI was worse, but they still won. In my opinion, it was because of their style. They had a stupid case IMO, but sounded like they were winning, and therefore won. Letting my team down was depressing, but in some respects I was glad we didnt have to prepare a complete case over lunch. It wasn't us losing so close to finals that upset me but more about how we lost both impromptu rounds. I don't think it's because of our cases but more about stylistically. I need to improve my style. During impromptus, I sound like a flustered P4, and I'm not like that. I'm not a nervous unconfident person. I need to change that. Regardless, me and noel got ranked 8th and 5th respectively. During the prize-giving, the most hilarious thing happened. When HCI lost, Max, Avery, Isaac and every AC guy sitting at the back shouted yes. Noel and I were in front cause we had gotten our prizes, but it was damn loud and everyone turned to face them.
After the entire session though, in fear of getting screwed over by Michael, Max, Walter, Noel and I went up to HCI to congratulate them. Isaac and Avery had ran off to J8 in fear of conflict. Cowards. Anyway after making pleasant convo with them. having a choclate eclair and staining Max's shoe in the process, Max, Walter and I head off to J8 to meet Ave and Isaac. Met this Xinmin guy Li Ren who was with Ave there. Spent the last remnants of the money I had for the month on a scone and a white choclate dream ice blended, which wasn't nice. Was there with them until 6, when me and Walter left. Took the 156 back home with Walter and spent the remainder of the day slacking and resisting the urge to fall asleep.
